Tokyoflash Eleeno E3 LCD Watch keeps us guessing

Tokyoflash is known for its head-scratching induced confusion with their watch designs and this 3rd release of the popular Eleeno model, which is availalbe for around $80, is no exception.
To read the time, first read the number of LCD blocks in the top row of windows for hours, the second block of windows for 10-minute increments, and the bottom row of windows for the minutes. Which seems easy enough, but just try doing that multiple times per day and tell me if thats not annoying. The design might just be worth the inconvenience though. — Andrew Dobrow

No commentsA Lvl. 12 piece of jewelry: The 20-sided die ring

Geek craft masters, Etsy, have created these D-and-D reminiscent pieces of jewelry with the 20-sided die ring. Even if your already a level 30 bride, this ring would look great with your engagement ring. Oh, and will most likely hold a MUCH larger stone.
The ring will fit those with ring sizes from 6-10, made for those with size 8. Best of all? You’ll always roll a 20 because it’s glued that way. Available now for the very affordable price of $7.95. — Andrew Dobrow

No commentsDIY: Tetris Ice Cubes have 8-bit coolness

Here’s a in-depth guide on how to create your own Tetris ice cubes. They are sure to add even more coolness to any cold beverage. Not to mention a dose of nostalgia to a plain old glass of your choice of refreshment.
FYI, you will need some wood crafting skills and a nice chunk of free time to produce your own cubes, but hey, any amount of time is worth this much coolness. — Andrew Dobrow

No commentsThe fine line between Lego Builder and Lego Artist

What’s the difference between a Lego builder and a Lego artist? The answer is simple. Nathan Sawaya. Formerly studying law, Sawaya decided his life needed to go in a different direction. That direction happened to be a professional Lego artist. He currently displays his “brick” works in exhibitions.
Lego’s have never held this much cultural significance. Or something like that. I dunno, just trying to sound artsy. But wow, take a look at more of these pics after the jump. (more…)

No commentsDIY: Tennis Ball Camera Tripod

Most camera tripods are big, clunky objects that really are a pain in the anus to transport everywhere if you’re just a pleasure photographer, or a novice photog, which sounds more macho. Using something you probably have laying around the house anyway, a tennis ball, you can create your own mini-tripod for easy stability where ever you go.
This tennis ball tripod is only recommended for use with light cameras, so you don’t wanna go putting cameras on there with those 2 foot long lenses. This project is great because the inner material of a tennis ball is made of a rubber, which is great for stability and not scratching your gear. — Andrew Dobrow

No commentsJobs and Gates share the stage, with no bloodshed

Surprisingly, the two CEOs seemed to really like each other. Both Jobs and Gates seemed full of nothing but good words for each other’s companies. For the duration of the conversation, both Steve and Bill exchanged sly smiles and slightly flirtatious glances. Is that love I smell in the air?
All kidding aside, a big chunk of the conversation centered around software and the risks both companies took while working on their initial software framework. All in all, it’s interesting to see. Check out the vid to see the two giants clash horns. — Andrew Dobrow
