Yo, yo gearheads. After like 3,000 release candidates, Firefox 3.5 is finally in da house! Today marks the public release of Mozilla’s updated browser which features significantly increased speed and privacy options, not to mention an awesome new private browsing mode for all you porn-iacs.
Check out a full list of improvements and updates, via Mozilla, after the jump.
Firefox 3.5 is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform, which has been under development for the past year. Firefox 3.5 offers many changes over the previous version, supporting new web technologies, improving performance and ease of use. Some of the notable features are:

- Support for the HTML5 <video> and <audio> elements including native support for Ogg Theora encoded video and Vorbis encoded audio. (Try it here!)
- Improved tools for controlling your private data, including a Private Browsing Mode.
- Better web application performance using the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine.
- The ability to share your location with websites using Location Aware Browsing. (Try it here!)
- Support for native JSON, and web worker threads.
- Improvements to the Gecko layout engine, including speculative parsing for faster content rendering.
- Support for new web technologies such as: downloadable fonts, CSS media queries, new transformations and properties, JavaScript query selectors, HTML5 local storage and offline application storage, <canvas> text, ICC profiles, and SVG transforms.
Developers can find out about all the changes and new features at the Mozilla Developer Center.

No commentsThe A-Z of Awesomeness: An Alternative Method of Learning the Alphabet

The future geeks of America are going to have about as much patience to learn in school as a mouse has patience to escape a mouse trap. Technology has minimized patience to a minimum, thanks to the speed of now. So, how are we going to teach future generations the essentials? Such as reading.
The A-Z of Awesomeness caught my attention right away, so I just know that a 12-year-old boy would just be sucked right in. Me and my Vietnamese boy slave have about the same patience level. In other words? This is the education method of the future! Check out more alphabetical awesomeness after the jump.

No commentsLined Paper Pencil Case

Looking for some much needed flash to accompany you in academia? The ultra-realistic Lined Paper Pencil Case is designed to look like a fresh piece of standard lined paper.
The only hazard I could find with this case is that it could easily be confused with a stray scrap of paper and chucked into the trash. Just keep an eye on what you’re writing on or your homework might wind up on your case.

No commentsLeather Bandages: Normal Band Aids Just Aren’t Metal Enough

These bandages take a page right from the book of Stryper, the most metal of metalest bands ever. Battle wounds are part of the metal world. When you have fans throwing broken beer bottles at the stage, it’s sort of difficult not to get a boo-boo every once in a while.
But what’s a metal guitarist to do? A simple old band aid won’t cut it. Hell, even duct tape bandages aren’t hardcore enough. These Leather Bandages should fit right in with your full-body pleather jumpsuit.
