Blobwall: Bubblegum Bricks of the Future?
Designer Greg Lynn apparently likes to think outside the box. And I really mean it! His latest creation, Blobwall is a fresh take on bricks and building materials. As you can see in the picture, the wall is designed from molded plastic blobs mixed with different polymers and colors. Sure, it’s not traditional like unlike other things in life, but could it one day be used to build a house or office building? Perhaps.
Greg plans to offer the Blobs in 10 different colors and will be available in stock shapes at first. Of course this is just a concept for now, but if you’d like to check Blobwall out in person, it’s currently on display at the SCI-Arc Gallery in Los Angeles.
