E-Mail with a typewriter: Because parents just don’t understand

Inspired by a mother who just couldn’t deal with a computers scroll bars, control keys, mouse, and other “cryptic” hardware. The project integrates electronics into a typewriter, which automatically sends the typed letter to the recipient when the page is pulled out of the device.
The typewriter is converted into a POP device through the wonders of wireless networking, making a simple and traditional use of communication become part of the connected world. Seems useless to me, but we’re sure our grandmothers would object to its uselessness. — Andrew Dobrow
