Extra Extra, read all about it, The Digital Newsstand

Does anyone still buy newspapers actually made of paper? Well, they must. But apparently the maker of this project doesn’t anymore. Using an old newsstand box, he managed to modify it into a crazy digital output machine that displays the top headlines at all times, without the need of loose change.

Hell, if we had something like this, we’d even consider wiping Google News off of our feed readers. What a great idea. Should we be expecting to see more of these in the future? You pay, and then get to see the news on a digital display. Now that’s something to think about. — Andrew Dobrow
