Hydrogen Fuel Cell…Bicycle?

Fuel Cell Bicycle

Don’t let the little fenders and that wussy basket fool you. This bicycle features state-of-the-art hydrogen fuel cell technology - and it has a $2600 price tag to prove it.

When powered up, the bike will cruise along at a whopping 15 mph for a distance of about 60 miles. When on empty it can be pedaled around like a normal bicycle. The tanks take about a half hour to recharge - which gives it a sizable advantage over the typical three hour charge times of electric bikes.

Unfortunately, I don’t see to many hydrogen fuel cell refilling stations around so the bike is probably more of a novelty than anything else right now. Still, the Chinese company behind the bike is planning on mass-producing the vehicle sometime in the near future for around $500 apiece. — Sean Fallon
