Nike and Nintendo Power Up

It’s no secret that we here at Gearfuse are no fans of the Nintendo Wii. So really, it comes as no surprise that when Nike teamed up with Nintendo for its new Blazer sneaker, the end result was an ugly ass shoe. Look at that dull blue sole! And the Nike stitching on the back heel? It looks like it was done by a bootlegger in China. The only redeeming thing about these shoes is the tongue, which features the Wii power button (photo after the jump) with a sleek microdot pattern.

Nike will be releasing this special “Nintendo Wii Pack” in the summer of this year. It’ll no doubt be limited edition and chances are, some kind of boutique in New York will be selling it for around $250 a pair. I suppose they’re more useful than the system itself…
