Philips Puts Phone On Alkaline Life Support

They’ve been talking about it for over a year, but finally Philips has delivered on their AAA-powered mobile phone. The phone comes with the standard lithium ion battery, but also gives you the option of shoving in a battery to keep the phone on life support for an extra three hours.

The Philips Xenium might be ugly as sin, but for someone who might be stranded on a dessert island (mmm, dessert island, cookies and cakes!), an extra three hours might be the only thing saving you from diabetes. — Andrew Dobrow
