Rumor: T-Mobile Snatches The Google Phone, Plus More gPhone Goodies

While its hard to take most tech rumors seriously, this one at least comes from a reliable source. Mark “Rizzn” Hopkins says to have spoke to some high-level cellphone officials, and apparently has the low-down on some previously unknown gPhone info.

Rizzn claims that T-Mobile has earned the rights to service for the Google phone. He also says that the gPhone will be built on an all open-source Linux platform, and will be manufactured by HTC, not surprising since HTC seems to be right on top of phone technology. Rumored price for the phone is around $400. Though doubts are now filling our minds as he also says the phone will be announced by October 5th. Well, only two days until you lose some reliability. — Andrew Dobrow
