Samsung Blackjack II (SGH-i617) Revealed…sort of
Unfortunately, this news isn’t so exciting. The Samsung Blackjack II, or SGH-i617, is the folllow up to the much hyped Samsung SGH-i607, or the original Blackjack. As I reported some months back, Samsung was due to release a WiFi version of the Blackjack and no doubt include some upgrades. All I know at this time is that the new Blackjack will be slicker looking, enjoy a dedicated camera button, and a supposed 2 megapixel camera upgrade but no [confirmed] WiFi. The new Blackjack will continue to operate on AT&T’s 3G highspeed internet (aka HSDPA network) and will probably lack full web browsing based on its small screen size. Wish I knew more so I could tell you more, but I don’t know a release date or price.
I used the Blackjack for about 2 months. Although it was a solid phone, it was not remotely Mac friendly.
