Sprint tells soldiers to go shove it: Cell plans canceled for “excessive roaming”

celldead.jpg

Sprint has recently made some cutbacks on their service provisions by cutting off a group of “high-maintenance” customers. It seems that excessive roaming is considered high-maintenance, or so say the 200 soldiers who had their cell service shut dowm for that very reason.

The cut back started with people who called the customer support line too often, with an undetermined number told that their service would be cut off by June 30. Though also under the radar are people who often roam from Sprint’s network. Which means lots of military and international services. Please note that Sprint does have special rules added for soldiers that would allow them to resolve the problem by calling customer service. Finding a way to  call them might be a problem though. — Andrew Dobrow
